A talk with World famous Whale photographer Flip Nicklin

The 12th Annual Whale Tales education and outreach event, just one week away (February 16-19)! On President’s Day (Monday, February 19th) Whale Tales will feature the first Whale Tales Family Day, presented by Whale Trust and The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. Highlights of the day include:

  • A special Family Day Whale Watch, sponsored by Hawaii Ocean Project, featuring hands-on education stations and a whale watch curated by Whale Trust naturalists starting at 9:30 am. Only 100 tickets available for this unique, family friendly whale watch.
  • Paint life-sized flukes with Whale Trust naturalists and learn the story of how humpbacks get the unique markings on the undersides of their tails from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
  • Experience hands-on education opportunities in science, art, and technology presented by Maui Ocean Center, Surfrider, Trilogy Excursions, Oceanwide Science Institute, and Whale Trust beginning at 10:30 am.
  • PLUS, two film screenings (Big Pacific and Dream Big) and footage from the filming of Disneynature’s Dolphin’s.
